Storing your meter and test strips correctly

All measuring systems have to be stored and used within a specific temperature range. Please follow the instruction manual for your blood sugar meter.
If you take measurements outside the specified temperature range (if it is very hot or cold), the blood sugar values shown are unreliable and give only an approximate guide. Some meters also display ERROR if they are used outside the specified temperature range.
Humidity and moisture are problems for all blood sugar measuring systems. Do not store the meter or the test strips in the bathroom, and only remove the test strips from the packaging (vial or foil wrapper) immediately before use. Close the container immediately after removing the test strip.
Leave the test strips in the original packaging and do not pack them into smaller containers.
Do not use test strips that have exceeded their expiry date.
