North America

By establishing a production site in the US, we are expanding our global presence and creating capacity close to our customers. The new site will focus on the manufacture of injection systems for the North American market. The project is scheduled to start at the end of 2025.

Solothurn, Switzerland
Ypsomed AG

Solothurn is home to Ypsomed's second large production facility in Switzerland. Here, we operate a fully automated manufacturing facility for our pens and autoinjectors in a clean room environment. We are also building a toolmaking facility that is almost identical to the one at our existing site in Burgdorf, as well as a conference and cultural center in Solothurn.

Ypsomed AG, Headquarters

Ypsomed's headquarters are located in Burgdorf, Switzerland. Central functions such as Research and Development, Toolmaking, Marketing, and Quality Management are based here. Pen production, with over 50 injection molding and assembly systems for the YpsoMate autoinjector, is situated in the immediate vicinity. The logistics center and semi-automated pen assembly are also located in Burgdorf.

Schwerin, Germany
Ypsomed Produktion GmbH

At our production site in Schwerin, we manufacture pens and autoinjectors on highly automated lines for the global market. The plant was recommissioned in 2019 and has been continuously expanded since then. Construction of Schwerin II began in January 2025 and will double the size of our plant in northern Germany by the end of the decade.

Changzhou, China
Ypsomed Manufacturing Co., Ltd.

In June 2025, we opened our first production facility in China, located in the high-tech industrial park in Changzhou near Shanghai. Here, we manufacture injection systems for the Chinese market. Local production allows us to respond more quickly to customer needs, minimize logistics risks, and deliver our products more efficiently and sustainably.
