In a multi-stage selection process, Gavin and Marcel were the only representatives from the canton of Bern to make it through. Yannik also put in a strong performance to reach the second round, finishing in a respectable 16th place.

In the first round, the apprentices had to produce complex milled parts in the company, which were assessed by external experts. After a theoretical exam and technical discussions in Lenzburg, the eight finalists for SwissSkills 2025 were selected from the 24 best participants.

‘Successes like this show how valuable sound practical training is – not just for us as a company, but for the whole industry. Our apprentices are proving just how much potential young skilled workers have,’

says Andreas Danner, Head of Tool Manufacturing, about the successful qualification.

We are proud of our talented young people and delighted that Ypsomed, as an attractive employer, successfully promotes and supports the skilled workers of tomorrow.

Congratulations on your fantastic achievements – we wish you every success at SwissSkills in the autumn!
