Data transfer to a third country

Ypsomed only transfers data to countries outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area (EEA) if the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or the European Commission has recognized these countries as offering an adequate level of data protection. In such cases, national laws provide safeguards comparable to Swiss or EU standards.

If data is transferred to countries not recognized as having adequate protection, we apply appropriate safeguards—such as standard contractual clauses approved by the FDPIC or the European Commission—and reinforce them with enhanced technical security measures.
