On Thursday, 22 August 2019, the official opening of the new production plant of the Swiss medical technology company Ypsomed will take place in the Schwerin industrial park. In the presence of guests from business and politics, Simon Michel, CEO of Ypsomed AG, will perform together with Jens Spahn, Federal Minister of Health, Manuela Schwesig, Prime Minister of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Harry Glawe, Minister of Economic Affairs of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the official opening ceremony.

Ypsomed Produktion GmbH will create around 200 jobs at the new production site over the next few years.
At the Schwerin production site, 4,250 m2 storage area including incoming goods will be available.
In Schwerin, Ypsomed has over 13,500 m2 production area incl. clean room.
At the new production site in Schwerin, we will manufacture up to 10 million infusion sets per year in the future.
In addition, a high-volume production of injection pens and autoinjectors, such as the Bydureon Pen or the YpsoMate, is being created here.
