Burgdorf - Ypsomed has taken notice that Sanofi-Aventis has filed a lawsuit in Basel against Ypsomed AG and TecPharma Licensing AG in relation to the SoloStar injection system developed and manufactured by Sanofi-Aventis. The lawsuit claims certain license rights, which in the opinion of Sanofi-Aventis should be granted by Ypsomed. Ypsomed has analysed this issue well in advance and is convinced that Sanofi-Aventis has no legal titles in this respect and therefore Ypsomed clearly contests the claims.
Ypsomed is not surprised by the legal steps taken by Sanofi-Aventis, but is unable to provide any further information regarding the ongoing proceedings. The current business and operational discussions - as communicated last week - are not affected by this action.
