Roger Lüscher is Project Manager for Autoinjectors at Ypsomed. With more than 14 years of experience in MedTech product development, he specializes in managing mechanical and mechatronic product platform projects, and has been with the company since 2017. In his current role, he supports the strategic positioning of the YpsoMate autoinjector by aligning business processes with pharmaceutical customer needs, advancing innovation in clinical and commercial settings, and fostering strategic partnerships. Mr. Lüscher holds an MSc in Industrial Management and Manufacturing from ETH Zurich.

Reto Falk, Director in Account & Business Development for Ypsomed. He holds an MBA with Edinburgh Business School. Reto is an account executive and team leader with extensive experience driving growth as a partner of MedTech, pharmaceutical and biotech companies. He joined Ypsomed in 2020 with a focus on business development fostering and expanding the company’s global customer base. Reto has more than 25 years of experience in global sales and marketing roles with MedTech providers, including Straumann, Camlog and Geistlich Pharma representing global leaders in the field of dental implants and hard/soft tissue regeneration.

Carolina Canapè, PhD, MBA, is a commercial leader with over 15 years of experience in MedTech and digital health. She specializes in developing and executing global go-to-market strategies, integrating digital solutions, and driving innovation across clinical and commercial environments. Dr. Canapè currently serves as Business Development Lead for Digital Health at Ypsomed AG, where she is responsible for advancing strategic partnerships and commercial initiatives focused on connected devices. She previously held senior roles at IQVIA, GenomSys SA, and Bracco Imaging, where she drove global business development efforts in digital health. She holds a PhD in Molecular Imaging and an MBA. Her combined scientific and commercial expertise positions her at the forefront of digital transformation in healthcare and clinical research.

Thuysi Dao joined Ypsomed’s Innovation Team in early 2025, where she leads Sustainability & NetZero Innovation. In her role, she drives the transition towards a circular economy in future drug delivery solutions. She began her career as a sustainability consultant at umlaut / Accenture and holds a Master’s degree in International Management with a specialisation in sustainability and innovation management.

Sandra Schaerer-Lickova is Regulatory Affairs Manager at Ypsomed, where she supports strategic regulatory projects for pen injectors and drug–device combination products. She started her regulatory career in the pharmaceutical sector, preparing CTDs and managing medicinal product submissions, before expanding into medical technology. Her expertise spans MDR CE marking, Article 117 assessments, and FDA CFR regulations for medical devices and combination products, alongside registrations in global markets including the US, China, Korea, Brazil, and Russia. With a background in chemistry and bioprocess engineering, she now focuses on lifecycle management, technical documentation, and guiding cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance and successful market access.

Stefanie Stark is Head of Regulatory Affairs for the Product Area Pen and Autoinjectors at Ypsomed AG. Since joining the company in 2021, she has led a team of regulatory professionals responsible for guiding drug–device combination products and medical devices from early innovation through regulatory strategy, global submissions, and life-cycle management in close collaboration with pharmaceutical partners. With more than 16 years of experience in regulatory affairs, she has held senior roles focused on international registrations as well as project and portfolio management. Stefanie holds a Diploma in Business Administration, is a certified medical documentalist and a trained nurse.

Daniel Käser is Manager Product Management for Large- Volume Injectors at Ypsomed. Mr Käser has held various positions in project and product management throughout his career. Since joining Ypsomed in 2022, he has served as Product Manager and since 2024, has overseen product management for large-volume injectors, including YpsoDose and YpsoMate 5.5.

Saurabh Bhavsar is an engineer by training with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. He has experience in executing complex strategic initiatives as a solution and program manager with a focus on medical technology and digital health. Saurabh has over 15 years of experience in healthcare across multiple domains and is driven by the passion to help patients live the best possible quality of life.

Mark Phillip Loria is a computer systems engineer with extensive experience in driving strategic data-driven initiatives across multiple industries. Passionate about uniting cross-functional business and technology teams, Mark is dedicated to enabling better patient care and quality of life by harnessing the power of real-world data in digital health solutions.

Sven Pohle is Global Product Manager for Glass Syringes at SCHOTT Pharma, where he is responsible for portfolio management, component & device partnerships, and the launch of product innovations. Prior to that, Sven worked for over ten years in various R&D positions in the medical device industry. He holds a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from Technical University of Braunschweig, Germany.

Reto Jost is Category Lead for Large Volume Injectors at Ypsomed Delivery Systems. He has been with Ypsomed since 2014 in various roles in product management and business development, working with pharmaceutical companies to develop and bring to market innovative self-injection systems. Since 2018 his main focus has been on new product innovation, with a particular focus on large volume injections. Mr Jost holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zurich, Switzerland, and a CAS in Business Administration from HES-SO, Fribourg, Switzerland. He has broad experience in medical devices, having worked in the industry since 2006.

Tobias Theiler is currently Head of Science and Evidence at Ypsomed AG, where he leads the integrated functions of Medical Affairs, Human Factors, and Scientific Evidence Generation. In this role, he drives the scientific strategy for Ypsomed’s self-injection systems, bridging clinical needs with user-centric design. Before joining Ypsomed, Tobias built a background across the medical device sector, working in leading systems engineering roles for more than a decade at Biotronik, Abbott Medical, and Ypsomed AG. Tobias holds a doctorate in Medical Sciences (Dr. rer. medic.) from RWTH Aachen University and a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Ruhr University Bochum. His academic research focused on active cardiac implants and electrophysiological pathology. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in these fields.

Jakob Lange is currently VP and head of Account and Business Development with responsibility for Ypsomed's customer relationships and marketing activities. Before his present role, he held different positions within marketing and sales as well as in R&D project management. He has been with Ypsomed for more than 19 years. Jakob holds an MSc degree in Chemical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, and a Ph.D. in Polymer Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, Switzerland. He has written and published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers on medical devices, packaging materials, and polymers.

Christian Schmid is a Senior Human Factors Manager at Ypsomed. He joined Ypsomed in 2020 and has more than 10 years of experience in Human Factors and Usability Engineering. His areas of specialization include usability engineering, ergonomics, user experience, user interface design, and product development for medical devices and drug-device combination products. He has been contributing to the design and evaluation of pen injectors, patch injectors, connected devices, and insulin pumps. Christian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Requirements Engineering.

Patrick Poenitsch works as Development Engineer on the YpsoMate 2.25ml platform at Ypsomed Delivery Systems. He has been with Ypsomed since 2021. Mr. Poenitsch holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from TU Ilmenau. He has 6 years' experience across different positions in the fields of mechatronics, mechanical and test engineering and 4 years of experience in the medical device industry.

Thomas Fontanellaz is the Category Lead of the YpsoMate 2.25 at Ypsomed Delivery Systems. He leads a group that drives customer customisation projects as well as the lifecycle management of the YpsoMate 2.25 franchise. Mr Fontanellaz has been with Ypsomed since 2017 in a number of roles in development, and marketing and sales, working with pharma and small biotech companies to develop and bring innovative self-injection systems to market. He is a trained electrician and studied mechanical engineering and business administration in Switzerland.

Ivana Matijasevic is Human Factors and User Experience Manager at Ypsomed, driving digital health solutions. Combining psychological insights with technical expertise, she excels in Human Factors within the digital health sector. Her focus on intuitive design ensures impactful interactions with digital health tech. Both collaborative and innovative, Ivana is dedicated to advancing healthcare outcomes through a user-centred approach. Ivana holds a Bachelor of science in Applied Psychology from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland.

Stefanie Seiler is Product Manager Digital Health at Ypsomed, driving digital health solutions. She has 8 years of experience in healthcare with focus on clinical research, real-world data, and digital health solutions. In her previous position, she closely collaborated with various stakeholders in the healthcare system to develop a real-world data platform nationwide to improve therapy outcomes for patients. Stefanie holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from University of Bern, Switzerland.

Yvonne Hauser has been with Ypsomed Delivery Systems as a Product Manager for more than four years. In this role, she also manages the product care side of the YpsoMate 1 mL in NetZero program. She originally comes from the fast moving consumer goods food industry, where she worked in similar positions for over 15 years.

Olivier Blanchard has been with Ypsomed Delivery Systems Regulatory Affairs for more than four years. He is also member of Ypsomed’s Sustainability Board and acts as ISCC-PLUS coordinator. He holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Bern and has working experience from scientific laboratories and commercial positions.
