Every year, Equal Pay Day is recalculated based on the current gender pay gap. Last year, it was 15 February in Switzerland. Not so at Ypsomed AG: we already had our Equal Pay Day on 5 January.
At Ypsomed, men and women are paid equally. This is demonstrated by a recent analysis of our compensation policy, in which we achieved the highest level with the TOP fair pay label for Ypsomed AG.
We are very pleased to be able to announce our Equal Pay Day already,
says Simon Michel, CEO of Ypsomed.
This is a strong sign of equal pay in practice at Ypsomed and of our attractive corporate culture.
Fair Pay Label TOP
Since July 1, 2020, companies in Switzerland with 100 or more employees have been required to conduct internal equal pay analyses. Employers must have the analysis formally reviewed by an independent body and are obliged to inform employees of the results of the analysis.
Listed companies must also inform their shareholders. Ypsomed AG had its remuneration policy analyzed for the first time in 2021 using the standard method of the Swiss Confederation (logib.ch) and was awarded the ADVANCED Fair Pay Label. We have now carried out the analysis again, including an independent audit by the leading international auditing and consulting firm PwC.
The results of the analysis show that there is no pay gap between men and women at Ypsomed AG.
This confirmation underlines our commitment to a modern and attractive corporate culture in which equality is not only strived for, but actively practiced. The new TOP label is valid until 2029.
We strive for equal pay worldwide
Equal pay is an important issue for us worldwide. We already take a systematic approach to this topic and will continue to expand this approach globally in order to continuously review and ensure equal pay in our subsidiaries in Germany, China, and, starting this year, in the USA—based on internal and external analyses. In doing so, we review the applicable legal requirements and implement them.
We will continue to work to ensure that equal pay remains a matter of course at Ypsomed. Our remuneration policy is based on fairness and market conditions – and is continuously being developed.
