Committed employees at Ypsomed
What makes Switzerland one of the most productive countries in the world? Monika Wegmüller has the answer: creativity and humour. The Legal Counsel of Ypsomed shows that we in Switzerland not only work hard, but also have a lot of fun while doing it.
The idea was immediately well received. Monika was convinced that humour plays a crucial role at work and strengthens employee loyalty.
I wanted to show that hard work can also be combined with lightness and joy,
explains Monika.
This gave rise to the plan for a music video that would involve not only Ypsomed, but also 15 other regional companies. Her husband - producer and DJ Philip Noirjean (known as QUBE) - was on hand to help with the musical realisation.
Shooting the music video was an exciting challenge. Everyone involved was motivated to show themselves in funny and creative scenes that turn the world of work on its head. The participants were enthusiastic and gave free rein to their creativity. You can see the cheesemaker as a DJ, the optician with diving goggles or the baker taking black ‘Züpfen’ out of the oven.
The music project impressively demonstrates how creative approaches and humour can be integrated into the working environment to create a positive working atmosphere. It not only promotes team spirit, but also identification with the company. With their song, Monika and Philip have made an important contribution to general employee morale and proved that a humorous working atmosphere is not only possible, but also extremely valuable. After all, employee commitment and team building can be promoted through creative and entertaining projects.
This also applies to bosses. When asked what his day looks like today, Simon Michel, CEO of Ypsomed and National Councillor, also answers: "Eifach Bügle!"
