Growth made the move necessary

Chaoyang District in Beijing – this is the new address of our colleagues in Beijing. The new modern office has a more optimized layout and sufficient space, which better adapts to the team’s development needs and improves daily working conditions. Since its establishment in 2014, Ypsomed China has grown significantly: Starting with just one employee and small-scale activities to serve our first Chinese customer. To meet the increasing workload and growing customer base, and to further develop our business, the team has meanwhile expanded to 12 colleagues. 

Close to customers

Having colleagues in China, geographically close to customers and in the same time zone enables Ypsomed to bridge cultural differences in business practices and overcome language barriers, which has resulted in a steadily growing customer base. Today, the team supports numerous customers and launched products in both the Chinese and international markets. It also manages local marketing, social media, and regulatory affairs activities. The Ypsomed China office in Beijing has a well-defined organizational structure designed to foster future growth, strengthen collaboration and service capabilities, and to unlock further business potential in this dynamic market.  

We take pride in our progress. Our team is well set up and preparing for the next milestone, with more talent joining. As Ypsomed’s business expands in China, the scale of work and the need for collaboration with the headquarter have grown – our previous office space could no longer keep up, and this move provides the foundation we need for the next phase of growth

Partnering for success with Chinese clients

Our China team has over ten years of experience in providing comprehensive, end-to-end professional support – from understanding customer needs, product presentations, and consulting to proposal preparation, contract negotiation, order processing, and ensuring smooth cooperation among all involved parties. Their core responsibilities include identifying and acquiring new projects and customers, as well as coordinating and supporting the HQ project team during the execution phase. In addition, they ensure structured and efficient stakeholder management that guarantees high-quality task delivery.  

With more products being launched in the Chinese market, the local team also manages supply chain coordination, ensuring stable and on-time deliveries that support customers’ launch plans. Even more importantly, the China team is deeply embedded in the local market – working hand in hand with Chinese partners and continuously monitoring market trends to provide first-hand, accurate forecasts that support headquarters in areas such as production and supply chain planning. 

Strengthening customer trust  

By making customer needs our top priority, we provide comprehensive service and rapid, on-the-ground responses to inquiries and feedback. This close partnership and efficient problem-solving approach have earned us deep customer trust, further strengthening Ypsomed’s brand and reputation in China. As a strategic step to further deepen its local presence, Ypsomed has established its own production site in Changzhou.

The new production site in Changzhou builds on the favorable conditions cultivated by the China team in Beijing and paves the way for more localized service, faster responses to market needs, and greater cost efficiency – ensuring long-term, mutual success with our Chinese partners.
 

A festive opening with team spirit

The new office was officially inaugurated with a small celebration: The team toured the new premises and reflected on the past ten years. The overwhelmingly positive feedback was a powerful testament to the team's cohesion and excitement for this new chapter and in this new inspiring environment.
