Yesterday Ypsomed put a further production line into operation in Solothurn. Ypsomed’s long-standing experience in highly automated serial production as well as the comprehensive expertise in the field of injection systems were deciding factors for the award of this additional production line by a major customer. The plant is of flexible design and can produce the numerous variants of injection systems by the millions.

At the official inauguration ceremony of the new production line on 24 January 2017, State Councillor Esther Gassler conveyed the government’s greetings:

“The canton of Solothurn can look forward to 50 new and attractive jobs in the Solothurn region with the opening of the production line – and is particularly pleased by the trust invested by this major company in our business location. Ypsomed is a model company in our MedTech sector, which we wish to support and strengthen actively.”

“Ypsomed is highly pleased with the trust reflected by issuing this contract. The flexible production design places the highest demands on the facilities and installations as well as on the processes and the organisation per se. In this regard Ypsomed can rely on its long-standing expertise from which the customer and we ourselves can benefit."

is how Ypsomed’s CEO Simon Michel comments this current success.
