Burgdorf – Ypsomed announces that its mylife Loop is now authorized to work with Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre 3 sensor in Germany. The mylife YpsoPump and the FreeStyle Libre 3, combined with the mylife CamAPS FX algorithm from CamDiab, form an intelligent and automated insulin delivery system (AID) designed to help people with type 1 diabetes to better control their glucose levels and alleviate the burden of daily diabetes management.

Ypsomed doubles profits and confirms outlook

Burgdorf – Ypsomed (SIX: YPSN) is on track and achieved consolidated sales of CHF 244.2 million in the first half of the 2022/23 financial year (previous year: CHF 222.6 million). This corresponds to a growth of 9.7% compared with the previous year. At constant currency rates compared to the previous year, this would have represented an increase of around 13%. With this growth, the company has significantly increased its operating profit (EBIT) from CHF 10.5 million to CHF 19.4 million and doubled its net profits to CHF 15.4 million (previous year CHF 7.1 million). Despite a challenging general environment, Ypsomed confirms its positive assessment of future business development and its outlook.

Ypsomed leaves DiaExpert in new hands and focuses on own products

Burgdorf – Ypsomed (SIX: YPSN) and Mediq have signed an agreement on the sale of DiaExpert. DiaExpert is an established specialist and mail-order retailer for the care of people with diabetes in Germany, specialised in insulin pump therapy. With the sale, DiaExpert will remain as a helping hand for customers and health insurers and will continue its services. Ypsomed is focusing more strongly on the development, manufacture and sale of its own high-quality medical technology products for people with chronic conditions.

Ypsomed introduces new autoinjector for volumes up to 5.5 ml

Burgdorf – Ypsomed (SIX: YPSN) has developed a new autoinjector platform for liquid medications with volumes ranging from 1.5 to 5.5 ml. The YpsoMate 5.5 is the latest addition to the growing YpsoMate family of devices and is based on the established technology of the YpsoMate 2.25 Pro. YpsoMate 5.5 enables the self-administration of larger volume medications for treating cancer, rare and autoimmune diseases.
