Sustainable action is embedded in our corporate strategy. We want to play a pioneering role in sustainability in our industry. The result that Ypsomed was awarded the silver medal for our sustainability commitment for the first time by EcoVadis, an independent assessment agency in the field of sustainability, is all the more gratifying.

Plastics must have a low CO2 value and at the same time be of very high quality. Nadine Kaufmann, Development Engineer Expert Services, has been working at Ypsomed for over 16 years and is responsible for the various development initiatives involving sustainable plastics. In this interview, she talks about why plastics are the right choice in many cases.

World Health Day 2023

World Health Day, celebrated on April 7th every year, is an important event that reminds us of the crucial role that health plays in our lives. We recognize the significance of this day and take action to promote the health and wellbeing of our employees, customers and communities.

Switzerland's energy supply is heavily dependent on foreign countries during the winter months. In addition, the prices for electricity have risen very sharply. To ensure that we at Ypsomed get through the winter without energy shortages, we have set up an Energy Task Force. Our goal is to be able to produce continuously and to identify and implement sustainable savings potential.

For some time now, Europe has been experiencing a shortage of qualified and well-trained workers. Specialists are in particular demand for MINT occupational fields (mathematics, information technology, natural sciences and technology). To prevent this problem, we are increasingly training our specialists ourselves. Every year, around 20 apprentices complete their vocational training at Ypsomed and help to make self-treatment a matter of course. In addition, we fulfil our social responsibility as a company by providing training and offering attractive jobs.
